Volunteerism is one key way that The Pest Professional’s demonstrates support for the important work undertaken by nonprofit organizations. All employees are encouraged to use up to 5% of their paid work time to do volunteer work in nonprofit organizations of their choosing.

Volunteerism is a critical part of our Mission of contributing
to the health of the communities in which we work and
do business. Our employees are encouraged to spend 5%
of their paid work time volunteering for nonprofit organizations
of their choosing whose missions are consistent with The
Pest Professional’s Mission.
Because employees are encouraged to select (or even organize)
their own projects, the types of projects taken on are as
diverse as our community of employees.
Individual employee volunteerism is supplemented by day-long,
company-sponsored volunteer projects. These projects usually
involve between one-fifth to one-third of the company and
often reflect our special interest in projects that improve
communities by working to preserve, maintain, or restore
important environmental resources.
Philanthropic giving is another key component of our efforts to live our Mission.
We donate a portion of our proceeds to nonprofit organizations benefiting the
environment, human need, arts, and education through our “Giving Back” program.
The Pest Professional's Giving Back Program
The Pest Professional’s was founded on a heritage
of philanthropy. Through our Giving Back Program, we have
been committed to donating a portion of our proceeds each
year to charitable organizations and encouraging our employees
to spend 5% of their paid work time volunteering in the
community.
Our belief in three central principles—inherent
worthiness, sharing, and accountability—are reflected
in our Mission and Our
Purpose Statement.
We believe in supporting the inherent worth of an organization
and recognize that people are the critical element in the
success of a mission. For this reason, our donations focus
on core mission and community enhancement goals.
